NGANTEP BEACH

Ngantep beach is located in Desa Tumpakrejo, Kecamatan Gedangan, Kabupaten Malang. It’s in the same direction to Balekambang beach but it’s nearer. It takes about 2 hours from Malang. The first time I visited Ngantep beach on Tuesday, 2 April 2013. The road to get to the Ngantep beach is still ground and rocky.

Maybe Ngantep Beach is still new for some people but this beach has been known by international tourist especially from Australia. According to the people there, many international tourist come to the Ngantep beach on Saturday and Sunday for surfing. Ya, Nganteb beach is good for you who want to surfing. Beside surfing, you can also do caving, fishing, planting (tree, plant, or flower), and others. There are some homestay there. So it’s good to you who want to enjoy longer or do more activities or have holiday there.

There is a tradition in Ngantep beach when Hari Raya Indul Fitri. So, all the people go to the Ngantep beach to eat Ketupat (special menu in Lebaran day. It made from steam-hulled rice) together. At that moment, Ngantep beach become so crowded. :)

BALEKAMBANG BEACH, Malang, Jawa Timur

The first time I visited Balekambang beach when I was child, still as an elementary school student. I went there together with my family by motorcycle. At the time, the beach was like a personal beach because there were just I and my family on the beach. There were no many people. The atmosphere was so peaceful, only the sound of the waves. The sand was white and I found many beach snails. The beach was little steep and the waves were quite big. I and my younger sister stood on the coral stone and when the waves came, the coral stone moved, so it was like we stood on the surfing board but of course that made my mom became worry. And then my mom got us to stay away from the wave. Hehe!

The picture above was taken on September 12, 2010. At the time there were many visitors, because it was at the weekend and holiday of Lebaran day.

Like you can see on the picture, there is an Hindu temple on the sea and there is a bridge to get to the temple. The Hindu temple’s on the giant rock is remind me that it’s like in Tanah Lot. Hehe!
